Media player 11 RRS feed

  • I have a newer computer running XP Pro 32bit with SP3. Every time I try to update to media Player 11 I get the error message dbghelp.dll is missing or not found.

  • Hello Naomi. 

    Try to do the following:

    1. Right click on the icon for Windows Media Player.

    2. Click Properties.

    3. Click find target.

    Now, with that folder open, launch your internet browser and download the following file:

    http://download.dll-files.com/6479a184873f7ca797ff0375d711e9a6/dbghelp.zip?0WLfOGYKkR   *

    4. Unzip the file and drag the DLL file to the folder you opened in step 3. 

    5. Launch media player and try to update again. 

    To help others in the future who may have the similar problem, please reply back the results.
