All workflows on my sites stopped working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Hopefully I'm not posting this in the wrong area.

I'm having a problem with our sites.   All of our workflows stopped working on all of our sites.  We get an error that says

"A Microsoft SharePoint Server State Service error occurred while processing your request. For more information, contact your server farm administrator."

is there anything I can check?  I checked the State service is running.

Please let me know what additional information I can provide to resolve this issue.

    Thank you!

  • Well this ended up being that I was out of space on my SQL server.   I apologize for not noticing it before.

Thank you both for your help!

  • Have you checked if the "State Service" is a part of the "Service Application Associations".
Central Admin --> Manage Web Apps --> Select the web app with error --> Click on Service Connections on the ribbon --> Check the box in front of "State Service" and click OK.

  • Hi Arvit - yes I checked that and State Service is checked (although all of my connections are greyed out)

Hi Jagga - Yes I have run the configuration wizard and it did not help.

Thank you for the help! Any other suggestions?
