    Hi All,

all the while i'm using microsoft visual web developer to build my asp web, and upload to my website host by godaddy.

In my asp website, i have no issue reading and writing data from/into my microsoft access database when running in pc as well as when uploaded to godaddy...

apparently i am looking for another web host service provider ¬ myhosting. I'm wondering if i can do the same in "myhosting".... anyone using myhosting can share your experience?

thanks in advance for your reply.....

    regards

    Garf

The database back end should not matter as long as your hosting provider will offer a database solution. Whether you code on your DEV PC to access, its not that difficult to switch to SQL or MySQL both of which I know GoDaddy offer.

Contact them, they can surely help you set up the correct connection strings.

The server needs the MS Access driver.  You'll need to contact the hosting service.

    Hi Graf,

Please contact godaddy( https://sg.godaddy.com/help) to look into the log file, it can give more precise troubleshooting for you.

    Hi garfchong,

You need to contact godaddy to intall ms driver on the server. For windows hosting, I personally recommend asphostportal

Hi, I'm using godaddy, and i have no problem using ms access in my website for both "reading & writing" from/ into ms access database via asp.net code....the best thing is, i don't need to modify my code, just upload everything into godaddy hosting will do.

how about asphostportal? do i need to modify the code to make the ms access database works?? thank

    Hi garfchong,

You better ask this issue with asphostportal directly. They do support this feature. Good luck
