unable to use sqlite-winrt on Windows 8 consument preview

    Question

  • Hi,

I was successfully using sqlite-winrt on Developer preview, but not able to do the same on consumer preview.

I get the error " The specified procedure could not be found".

Please let me know if somebody has used the same without any problem on windows 8 consumenr preview.

    Thanks,

    Nikita.

  • I'd suggest adding a new discussion on the CodePlex site for this project with this question as well:

  • You can use https://github.com/doo/SQLite3-WinRT

It works and verifies with the App Cert kit.

But, after upgrading from Windows 8 Consumer Preview to Consumer Preview Update 2, this WinRT component can't be built successfully:

    Error 12 error C2065: 'CreateFileMappingW' : undeclared identifier C:\Users\...\SQLite3\sqlite3.c 32485 1 SQLite3
    Error 13 error C2099: initializer is not a constant C:\Users\...\SQLite3\sqlite3.c 32485 1 SQLite3
    Error 14 error C2065: 'MapViewOfFileEx' : undeclared identifier C:\Users\...\SQLite3\sqlite3.c 32925 1 SQLite3
    Error 15 error C2099: initializer is not a constant C:\Users\...\SQLite3\sqlite3.c 32925 1 SQLite3

Please let me know how to handle these building issues. Thanks a lot!

  • The issues with Consumer Preview Update 2 have been fixed, see https://github.com/doo/SQLite3-WinRT/commit/404bc249373713a835c4a79e390de5ca860d7796.

Should you experience other issues with SQLite3-WinRT in the future, please create an issue on GitHub. That way, we can help you sooner.
