Could I create a file which is able to be accessed by all metro apps?

    Question

  • I hope to store some data which is able to used by other metro apps on the disk and is it possible?if it does, Which folder could I create the files in?

    All the applications that have the my documents access can read/write files in there (the same applies to pics/videos folders)

  • In addition, when you try to access these folder, you should set the app capability.

  • There are only 2 ways of accessing files in Metro apps.

    1. Declare the document/picture/audio/video library capabilities in the App manifest.

    2. Broker the file open using the File Picker.

    If Metro apps do not declare library capabilities, they can only access files through the picker.

    I know we could read/write in liberaries with declaring capabilities. However I expect to ensure accessing files for all the metro apps whatever has declared the capability of accessing.Is it possible?
