  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am creating new calender entry with reminder of 30 Minutes, but when i see it in OWA, it is created as default 15 Minutes.

    Below is request xml:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" standalone="no" ?>

    <Items xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

    <row>

    <Calendar>

    <Subject>Calender1</Subject>

    <Sensitivity>Normal</Sensitivity>

    <Body BodyType="Text">Calender1_Body</Body>

    <ReminderMinutesBeforeStart>30</ReminderMinutesBeforeStart>

    <Location>Pune_India</Location>

    <RequiredAttendees>

    <Attendee>

    <EmailAddress>indiaexch@test.local</EmailAddress>

    </Attendee>

    </RequiredAttendees>

    <IsAllDayEvent>1</IsAllDayEvent>

    </Calendar>

    </row>

    </Items>

    Does anyone has any idea?

    Thanks in Advance.

  • What does your CreateItem request look like what you have posted looks like some sort of filtered read which isn't that meaningful.I would also have a read of http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms528181(v=exchg.10).aspx and make sure you are also setting ReminderSet to true.

    Cheers

  • Hi Glen,

    Thanks for your quick and helful reply,

    I tried to implement your suggestion and it worked (using .NET).

    But my scenario is little different.

    I am using Axis1.4 generated code from WSDL for the Exchange WebService.

    In that I don't have option to set the ReminderMinutesBeforeStart.

    For ready reference my code is as follows.

    // Following Line of code sets the reminder property to true.

    appointment.setReminderIsSet(true);  // this is fine.

    ReminderMinutesBeforeStartType r= new ReminderMinutesBeforeStartType();

    // To call the SetReminderMinutesBeforeStart : I need to pass an argument of type "ReminderMinutesBeforeStartType"

    // but we don't have any method or property to set the value to it.

    appointment.setReminderMinutesBeforeStart(r);

    So we're not able to set the property.

    Please suggest if there is any workaround

    Thanks,

    Kiran.
