Create a Connected Screen makes a UserControl? RRS feed

  • Question

  • In SketchFlow's SketchFlow Map window I've made some additional window connected to the primary window by hovering my mouse over the window until the popups show up under it and then I selected the Create a Connected Screen and dragged it to the side to make a new, connected screen.  However, when I open up the XAML view I was surprised to see that it creates the new screens as UserControls and not Windows.  Why is that?

  • Because SketchFlow displays all of the screens inside the SketchFlow Player, and windows are top level concepts in WPF.  Making them user controls also makes them more reusable, because you can instantiate them into other screens (as in the component screen feature) or windows.
