Microsoft Access failed to create the Visual Basic Module RRS feed

  • Question

  • Microsoft Access 2010, 64 bit, Windows 7.

I created a DB modeling after the Northwind DB.

Every time I tried to access Visual Basic, I got the message:

“Microsoft Access failed to create the Visual Basic Module,

“If your database in on a network drive, check your network connection, and then try again”.

My database is not on a network, but on a local single drive. It’s only 6MB in size.

I tried to create an Event Command Button, but was unable to do so.

I have modified my registry value data from 3 to 2 as one of the articles suggested,

but it did not change anything. The same error message continues to display.

    Any idea what caused this?

I appreciate if anyone can shed me some lights.

  • Hi ThangVo,

According to your description, I would like to know the details below:

    1. Do you get that error when you click Visual Basic button? Please provide the detail steps.
    2. How do you modified the registry value?

Please create a new access database (empty) and try again to check the result.

    Best Regards

    Starain
