SerialPort question RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been working on a supposed TAP interface to an existing system.  They claim its the TAP protocol, but from everything I have looked at, its a completely bastardised version of the TAP protocol, not following most of the steps written in the protocol specifications I have seen.

Moving on, I have written a program using the SerialPort class and it works, but occasionally it seems to miss some of the information coming in, but only when its under a heavy load.

Im not very experienced with the SerialPort class and was wondering what I should be watching for with the SerialDataReceivedEventHandler.  Could there be some thread issues going on here that is causing my data to disappear as the event is triggered several times?

If theres any particular code snippets that would help, please let me know rather than posting the whole thing right now.
