To make billing and usage simple and predictable, we are adding a number of new features in the upcoming months. As a first step, we are deprecating the support
for user groups and are introducing a simple way to bulk add individual users via csv-based import. You can export the users of an Azure Active Directory group to a .csv file, add or remove users, and then import them to Azure RemoteApp. This can be accomplished
from the Azure Management Portal following the instructions below.
To import the .csv file, click
Bulk Add Users on the User Access page for your collection.
This brings up a dialog where you can provide the .csv file with the list of users.
Continuous changes to user groups' membership, especially when that group owner is different from RDS admin, make billing and usage less predictable. Because of this,
we are deprecating user group support in Azure RemoteApp. To ensure continuity for your users, any user group assignment you have before today will continue to work until November 30, 2014.
Till this date, all users in the groups will have access to the collection even though the groups are not shown on the User Access page.
