dot net framework 3.0 install error 1603 RRS feed

    i m getting error while installing dotnet framework 3.0.

    the error i m getting is:

     [01/26/09,18:32:40] Windows Communication Foundation: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Windows Communication Foundation. MSI returned error code 1618
    [01/26/09,21:15:03] Windows Communication Foundation: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Windows Communication Foundation. MSI returned error code 1603
    [01/26/09,21:15:14] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates Windows Communication Foundation is not installed.
    [01/26/09,23:12:09] Windows Communication Foundation: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Windows Communication Foundation. MSI returned error code 1603
    [01/26/09,23:12:16] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates Windows Communication Foundation is not installed.

  • Hi Bhuvnesh,

    Could you please try to help me to collect all the log files of .Net Framework 3.0 from your "%temp%" folder or use collect tool to collect the log files: http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/archive/2008/05/09/visual-studio-and-net-log-collection-utility.aspx

    Then compress them into a zip file and post a link back?

    Steps:
    - Try to clean your "%temp%" folder
    - Install .Net Framework 3.0
    - Collect all the latest log files or Collect Tool file logs from "%temp%" folder
