Commandeering the "Control F"

Question

I was at a website that is partially silverlight based, and they had overriden the response of the Control F.  Am I the only one who gets irritated when people over ride common functionality? 

(Control F made a search box appear on their site.)

It my opinion I found it more offensive than flashing text.

That is pretty silly, unless they were overriding it to provide their own specialized Find functionality. The keyboard override would only work when the input focus was within Silverlight.

Yeah, they had a find box and it was highlighted with the control F, but I had already seen the find box and chose not to use it.
