Using Expression Blend 3 SDK without buying Expression Blend 3 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello. I was developing a simple Silverlight application while I came across the Expression Blend 3 SDK and the concept of actions and behaviors. I liked these ideas and wanted to implement them in my project. They seem to be pretty flexible and also useful for better compatibility with Expression Blend environment if I will use it in future. But the description of that SDK says that it is to "extend the capabilities of behaviors in Expression Blend". I'm using only free MS express edition software at this moment and not planning to purchase Expression Studio right now. So is it legal to reference and use the assemblies from Expression Blend 3 SDK without purchasing Expression Blend 3 for commercial applications?

  • There is a EULA in the install directory that should answer your questions:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Expression\Blend 3
