Is RemoveMXDW working? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am attempting to add printing to our WES7 image. However it keeps showing the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer".

    I have set RemoveMXDW to 1; but the printer is still there.

    In the normal Windows AIK (Microsoft-Windows-Foundation-Package)there is reference to "Microsoft-Windows-Printing-XPSServices-Package" but cannot find anything like this in the Embedded.

  • Turns out it does work... I missed this in the help "After installation, open the Printers folder to completely remove the files. Next, run the Sysprep tool, and then recapture the Windows image."

  • It did happen once... In my latest install I set the registry value and restarted the computer.

    [HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print]

    "RemoveMXDW"=dword:00000001
