In a recent search I did in a visual studio 2010 web form application, I tried to do a research on an issue that occurred. I could not find the line of code that caused the problem. I used Internet explorer developer tools to find the line of code. Also I do not see the javascript code when I am debugging the application. I also would like to look through the code to see if any commands have been deprecated. Thus can you tell me what I do with Visual studio 2010, so I can 'step though' the javascript code and to be able to do a search on the javascipt code?

    Hi wendy Elizabeth,

Have you try to add the keyword 'debugger' to your js code?

You could use IE developer tools to debug, it will stop at the 'debugger'.

    Here is the reference:

    Best Regards,

So the debugger in IE only works at one location? It will not step through a lot of code like the visual studio 2010 debugger will do? Basically I need to place the word debugger next to everyplace I want to look at a value?
