Running Azure Storage Emulator in Docker Container

    Question

  • I am setting up some containers for a test environment for a site I want to validate locally before pushing it to the cloud.

I have a VM solution like this running everything locally with the storage emulator but I am a little surprised that I am not finding examples of containers that start the emulator for this kind of testing.

Is there some kind of challenge I am not thinking of with doing this?

  • Hello Alden,

As far as I understand it should be possible to put the emulator and its dependencies in a Docker container. If you are encountering any specific issues while doing this then let us know and we can take a look. You can also consider creating a production account for your testing.
