My USB 2.0 device not detected behind xHCI controller. How can I certify it for Win8 or 8.1? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am struggling to certify my USB 2.0 device for Win8/8.1.

I have a SUT which has 2 EHCI and 1 xHCI controllers.

And I have all the pre-requisites that are mentioned here msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh998271.aspx

TI HUB and Superspeed HUB are detected behind xHCI but if I connect my device or any other USB2.0 HID devices they are seen under EHCI controller.(am using "Devices by Connection" in Device Manager).

And thus all xHCI dependent tests are failed with "device should be connected behind xHCI"?

Is there separate certification needed if win7 drivers are working fine straight away?

Note: xHCI controller is using inbox Microsoft drivers in Win8
