  • Hi Team,

    I created a VB.NET program that can copy files From a folder to another folder.

    How to Copy files to C:\Program Files(x86) by asking computer administrator privileges?

    It does not work When I use System.IO.File.Copy()

    You only can do that on your own computer. A program is not a kind of wizard which makes everything possible. 

    Those folders are more and more closed for programmers, not in the least because all of the malicious tries there are done. 

    What would it be easy if you just needed a simple program to open the mail folder from Putin, Xi or Trump.

    Be aware that if you want to pass that, you are fighting against Google, Apple, Microsoft and Sun. They will make every time new updates to take care that you don't do that not allowed on other computers. 

    As administrator on a computer you can change the settings of a program using the settings functions.
