Third-party storage. Microsoft blob? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I currently have a website hosted at namecheap.com, they claim to have unlimited storage but of course there is a 10gb limit for mediafiles.

I am now sitting here looking for options for third-party storage for my website, I am expecting 35 uploads a day from users and 375 downloads a day. The files are going to be between 0.5mb to 40mb but mostly bellow 10-20mb.

I need to be able to communicate to the service with PHP and make it simpel for my users where they just need to click a button and they will get the file they asked for.

What can you recommend me and what do you think the monthly price will be for that?

  • Configure and estimate the costs for Azure products: Azure Pricing calculator

Bandwidth refers to data moving in and out of Azure data centers : This article provide complete pricing details based on the region: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/pricing/details/bandwidth/

Although not official, this tool uses pricing APIs and support bulk uploads: https://www.vmchooser.com/

I would recommend to use Azure Blob, If you still find any difficulties in Azure Pricing, I would recommend to contact Pricing/billing/subscription for more specialized assistance on this kindly contact Azure Billing support, it's free, and it's the best choice for you query.

    Hope this helps!
