Error updated XAP RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am getting this after pointing to a new XAP to update.

ScriptObject_InvokeFailed] Arguments:  Debugging resource strings are unavailable. Often the key and arguments provide sufficient information to diagnose the problem. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=106663&Version=8.1.10411.0&File=System.Windows.Browser.dll&Key=ScriptObject_InvokeFailed

The information in the link provided does not help me solve the problem. The Sliverlight Site reports that I have the latest version of Sliverlight.

    Any ideas?

  • Can you tried clearing your cache, starting App Submission again, and pressing Ctrl+F5 on the Application Submission Xap Description page to verify you have the latest Silverlight component as well as the supporting script files?

  • That has helped - I've been able to get the submission to complete now. However, the web page was not correctly showing images I'd already uploaded so something strange seems to be going on still.

    Thanks for the advice.

  • Clear which cache, where?

  • You should clear the cache from any web browser you're trying to submit through.

  • I do not't understand why some people always giving a standard answer like "clear browser case". It is similar to "Have you tried it turning it off and on again - IT Crowd" ;-)

Meanwhile the problem was fixed by MS (did a App (BETA) Submission yesterday using Firefox and that error didn't occur again).

Btw, never cleared Browser cache or something similar since mistake was clearly on the Dev Center site and there was no client-side issue!

The only workaround which worked for me was: Using IE instead of Forefox ^^.
