Does Azure websites support both HttpPlatformHandler/Tomcat and rewrite rules? RRS feed

  • Question

  • The OOB web.config looks like this:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <configuration>
        <system.webServer>
            <handlers>
                <add name="httpPlatformHandler" path="*" verb="*"
                     modules="httpPlatformHandler" resourceType="Unspecified" />
            </handlers>
            <httpPlatform processPath="d:\home\site\wwwroot\bin\apache-tomcat-8.0.27\bin\startup.bat" arguments="start">
                <environmentVariables>
                    <environmentVariable name="CATALINA_OPTS" value="-Dport.http=%HTTP_PLATFORM_PORT%" />
                    <environmentVariable name="CATALINA_HOME" value="d:\home\site\wwwroot\bin\apache-tomcat-8.0.27" />
                    <environmentVariable name="JAVA_OPTS"  value="-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true" />
                </environmentVariables>
            </httpPlatform>
        </system.webServer>
    </configuration>

    Does Azure support rewrite directives in addition to the <g class="gr_ gr_223 gr-alert gr_spell gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="223" id="223">httpplatform</g> handler?
