CRM Connector - FetchXML RRS feed

  • Question

  • For the CRM connector, and listing records, the connector does not seem to support fetchXML as the filter parameter (like what you would do with the 2016 Web API). Is this correct (if not, are there any syntax guidelinets), or is this coming?

  • Steve,

The connector for Dynamics CRM (Dynamics 365 as it shows in the developer portal) does not support FetchXML queries, but does allow you to do OAUTH filtering. When building the "List Records" click the "Advanced Options" button at the bottom where you select the entity name http://imgur.com/12WABkG and then fill in the filter with the OAUTH filter query you desire http://imgur.com/uCmgj0O

The OAUTH filter does give you some options for querying result sets and defining the data you'd like to retreive the details are available here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg334767.aspx#bkmk_filter

Technically you might be able to also link records by using $expand but you'd need to do all that through the code editor.

  • Hi,

You need to define a filter query and pass the value for which you are making a lookup in the CRM .

One important consideration to keep in mind that the result returned from CRM  lookup will be an array and you need to find the appropriate (or select top 1) from the array .
