Multiple alias for CDN, or multiple <id>.vo.msecnd.net RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I would like to know if the support team is able to create multiple alias to the same CDN endpoint.

I would prefere having microsoft domains like <id>.vo.msecnd.net but I don't know if it's possible because the id is probably unique to a endpoint.

    Thank you

  • When you enable CDN access for a storage account, the developer portal provides you with a domain name of the following format: http:/ /<guid>.vo.msecnd.net/. This domain name can then be used to access blobs in a public container.

  • Thank you but I have to unmark this as answered.

the point was how can I implement domain sharding with the same CDN but multiple address to it.

it's not possible thanks to the management portal. So my question is can microsoft create multiple domain to the same cdn endpoint.

    thank you

  • Hi Fred,

Base on my experience, we can map different subdomains to the same CDN endpoint. But if you want to use the root domain, I guess it is difficult (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10333640/multiple-azure-cdn-endpoints ). I suggest you refer to this document via http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsazure/gg680307.aspx . Please try it.

Any question, please let me know.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    Will
