  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

    I have Outlook 2010 64bit on a Windows 7 Pro 64.

    I am using the following VBA Code to send email notification based on activities in my database:

    Dim strEmailBody As String

    Sub emailNotification()
    Dim oFolder As Outlook.MAPIFolder
    Dim oItem As Outlook.MailItem
    Dim oOutlook As New Outlook.Application

    Dim MoOutlook As Outlook.NameSpace
    Set MoOutlook = oOutlook.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Set oFolder = MoOutlook.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderOutbox)
    Set oItem = oFolder.Items.Add(olMailItem)
    With oItem
    .Recipients.Add ("tomyotheremail@myotheremail.com")
    .Subject = "Database Notification"
    .Body = strEmailBody
    .Importance = olImportanceHigh
    .Send
    End With
    Set oFolder = Nothing
    End Sub

    While testing an application I sent about 20 emails to myself and got the following error message:

     Task 'myemailaddress@outlook.com - Sending' reported error (0x8DE00006) : 'The operation failed.'

    Task 'myemailaddress@outlook.com' reported error (0x8DE00006) : 'No additional messages can be sent today as the daily limit was reached.  Try again later.  Account: myemailaddress@outlook.com.Error: 3210. '

    A) Can I override this?

    B) How does this work, will I be able to still send message?

    Thanks for reading!

  • That has nothing to do with code.

    It's something to do with your Outlook.com email account. You have to talk to the support for your account to see what's going on. It may be that your tests are being considered as spam sending.
