  • Use DIV tag for giving background image like below

    <div id="bg1">Test</div>

    CSS for DIV

    <style type="text/css">

    div#bg1 {
     position: absolute;
     top: 0px; left: 0px;
     width: 100%;
     background-image: url("http://www.alaron-nuclear.com/alaronV2/images/webv2-001-1280-med.jpg");

    Placing text (giving link) over image -- replace above dive with this

    <div id="bg1">
     <a href="myfile.htm">Test</a>

  • Hi,

    As an alternative to Sandip's solution, that doesn't involve CSS, you could set the image up and add text / hyperlinks as desired in something like PowerPoint. Save the file as a web page / HTML, upload to SharePoint, then reference it in a Content Editor Web Part.

    Hope this helps,
