Lighswitch packages missing from WebPI RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All-

A few days ago I set up a windows 7 box to host lightswitch html apps. I followed these instructions, more or less:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg481779.aspx

I tried the same thing today and all the lightswitch options are suddenly missing!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks-

    Michael

  • OK. I fixed this problem.

I ran WebPI on the box I set up a few days ago and looked at what was installed.

I then went to my new box, added IIS using the programs control panel->turn windows features on and off.

Then I used WebPI to add stuff until the installed items included what is below.

You don't have to add them all. If you start with Web Deployment Tool, Windows Identity Foundation and the .Net items a lot of the others will be installed as dependencies.

With the items below I can run HTML sites, no problem. My SQL is not on the same server, so the SQL Express stuff is not installed.
