  • How to set database connection Timeout at database level ?

    Is it any way to set connection timeout at database level, just like in .NET web.config file there having property Connection Timeout='30'

    Is there any appproach in SQL Server 2008 ?

  • Hello Maggy,

    A connection timeout is always connection related, of course; you can't define it on database level.

    E.g. clients connecting via WAN (Internet) uses in common a higher timeout then clients connectiong via local LAN, because LAN it's much faster.
