C# cross-assembly access RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have 3 C# projects A, B and C. I also have a Shared library that they reference. In that Shared lib I have a method that’s called from A, B and C and returns some result. How can I find out in that shared method who’s calling it (A, B or C) without passing any parameters about a caller to that method?

So far the only way I was able to make it work is to call ConfigurationManager.AppSettings in Shared method and hence access app settings of the caller to see if it’s A, B or C.

Any other options you can think of?
