ACK going out of BizTalk RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a two way receive port MLLP type for receiving HL7 messages from an outside party. Now and then it seems we do not receive messages and we have to manually restart the host which holds the receive port. Whenever I took this issue with the sender, they complained that they did not receive an ACK from BizTalk. My question is any way we can check ACKS sent out from BizTalk for the messages that we received?

     Thanks

  • You can enable the tracking on the receive port and track the data that are being sent.

Also, you can have a custom logging in place.

If nothing suits your need, then use Fiddler / wireshark to track the messages that are being recived and sent.

    Thanks

  • Depending on the situation, another solution could be to create a send port to drop the acknowledgments generated by HL7 DASM to a backup location which can be cleared periodically.
