Labels and form letters, Server generated RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello!

I'm trying to build a webapplication which generates a word 2007 document on the server and sends it to the client.

    I used this example from

Data-driven document generation with Word 2007 and the Office XML File Formats: Part 1

by Erika Ehrli. It runs well:

    - Creating a template document with Content Controls
    - Binding the Control to an XML-File as datasource
    - For the new document: Get the data from a server, create a new XML-File with the data
    - Open the template, replace the old xml-file in the document with the new one
    - Send the document to the client

Now i need something similar for labels or form letters:
    - Create a template document with formatted labels
    - replace the datasource and get a new document this way

It seems i cannot go the way of the example, because labels do not use Content Controls.
The second problem ist the various count of labels to fill.

Has anybody an idea or a link to an example?

    Thanks!

    Thea
