Agreeing to a EULA before getting a WinIoT devkit? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm wondering if anyone who got their WinIoT devkit board had to go to Microsoft Connect and agree to a pre-release EULA in the Surveys section. I signed up for one of the devkits a while back but never got any shipping confirmation.

I only just now checked Connect because there were some links to it in an e-mail that I just got which basically came down to "Are you enjoying your devkit? Here's some new firmware to make it better" and there was a pre-release EULA for WinIoT (but the grace period ended July 31st, 2014) that I agreed to.

Just wondering if I needed to agree to that within the grace period to get a kit. If so, and if I'm too late for it, it's annoying because I was never notified about this EULA until I checked just now.

  • At this point, all the hardware boards have been allocated.

You can however purchase a board from Amazon ($50) and download the software and still participate:  http://ms-iot.github.io/content/IBoughtAGalileo.htm
