Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.aspnet_CheckSchemaVersion' on hosting company RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have just uploaded my website to 1and1.

I have a regsiter control using createuserwizard. But when i go to register it brings the error Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.aspnet_CheckSchemaVersion'.

I am using my own sql database to store the data and not what is provided by default by aspnetdb.

I have changed the connection string in web.config and cleared providers so that it uses my table. The thing is that the error displays but it still writes the data to my database table.

    please can some advise

    thanks

  • The database objects are created by the aspnet_regsql.exe utility.

To specify the name of the database for these tables, use the -d option to aspnet_regsql.exe.  Depending on your access to the system, this may require assistance from an admin.

    See:

If you have already done all this, apologies I misunderstood your question.  Anyways, this would be an ASP.NET question, and is better asked on Microsoft's dedicated ASP.NET forums located at http://forums.asp.net/.
