WCF-Custom adapter hosting RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
Please, Let me know if there were discussions of this.

The SOAP adapters receive handlers can be hosted only on the isolated host (IIS).
That means we cannot scale up the SOAP receive host defining several servers to it. (??)

The WCF-Custom adapters receive handlers can be hosted on the in-process hosts.
That means we CAN scale up the WCF-Customreceive host defining several servers to it.

Is that right or I'm missing something?

    Hello,

I don't actually see any scale-out problem with the SOAP adapter.

You can have SOAP adapter receive locations(web services) hosted in IIS on different machines running at the same time.

    Am I missing something Leonid?

You can create an isolated host with multiple host instances, and set this host in the receive handler of the SOAP Adapter.

    The same for inprocess ones.

    Thanks,

    Karahan
