Link a visual c++ cpp file to word or chm RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to know if there is anyway that i could create a macro/hyperlink in which i could link a cpp file to my word/chm document, so that when i click the particular link on the chm (compiled html) or word document ,  i want the the visual studio solution to  automatically open and places the cursor on a  particular line.

    For. eg.

In MS Word - let the (*****) be the hyper link /macro / etc

Function X()....(*****) //Once i click this link in CHM/MS word I want the visual studio sln to open and place the cursor on the line where this function (Function X()) has been defined.

    Thanx in advance :)

  • I think you can try ShellExecute function to open the Visual C++ IDE.

There might be some parameters specifying which .cpp file should be opened.
