Connecting to SQL Azure using Java, JSP application deployed on Azure RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using Tomcat Solution Accelerator to create package of JSP web application that connects to SQL Azure database. When I do "runme" command in Solution accelerator, it runs the JSP web application in Developement fabric and successfully connects to SQL Azure database and populate data on jsp page. But once I deploy the package on Azure and then run the application it does not connect to SQL Azure. It fails in a Servlet class where I do connection to SQL Azure.

Any idea what is wrong here? I have put 'sqljdbc4.jar' in my lib directory on the web project and suspect that it does not get classes from this jar once deployed on Azure. How can I verify whether this jar file exists in the cspkg file?

  • I managed to solve this. I put all the .jar files in my WEB-INF\lib directory and then I created a package. It worked!
