wcf-basichttp authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have setup a receive location using wcf-basichttp adapter with

    Security Mode = Transport
Transport Client credential type = Windows
In IIS I have enabled windows authentication for this service

I need to know if all domain users can consume the service at this receive location or do I need to specifically add those domain users on the BizTalk server under any group?

  • Hi,

If you have hosted your service Isolated from BizTalk Service, in such case you can define the list of users under the BizTalk Isolated Host Users Group in your BizTalk Server such that way you can restrict the other domain users to use your service.

    BizTalk Isolated Host Users Group:

Windows group for accounts with access to the Isolated BizTalk hosts (hosts processes not running on BizTalk Server, such as HTTP and SOAP)

Hope this Helps!!!! Regards, Note: Please Mark As Answered if you satisfy with Reply.

  • All the users in the domain in which your service is hosted will be able to consume the service if they are validated successfully against the active directory. You need not set anything to allow any user as long as you are using the out of the box iis windows authentication
