Where can I find out if wlmail.exe is behaving normally? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have some security software on my PC ("Rapport") and it is warning me that wlmail.exe is trying to take screen grabs when I have my browser open during online banking.

Needless to say this worries me greatly!

However, the Rapport software says it has blocked the screen grab attempts and it may be nothing to worry about, and that the suspect softare (wlmail.exe) may try to do screen grabs as part of its normal operation.

Where can I check if this is correct?  Also, how can I check if wlmail.exe has been infected in some way?  Is there a forum where I can ask these questions?

    Thanks

  • Probably http://www.windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?forumid=df04ff8d-44a2-41d2-bca1-dc015525e81c. That looks like the only forum that is not specifically covering something else under the Windows Live Mail category.
