    Pls guide me where to put updatetransaction  .AS I m developing the project in oops.I dont know where to put this updatetransaction,whether it will put on Code behind or in DAL(Data access layer).Pls give me one e.g. for it.

    Typicall any 'Update' or CRUD related methods do exist in the DAL.  I would certainly not place anything like that directly in the code behind the page if trying to use a typical layered architecture using OOP.  However, you may want to post more details for a more in depth analysis.

    If you are talking about updating your data, the best way out would be to write a stored procedure in your database.

    Secondly create an update function in your DAL, that would call the stored procedure.

    Lastly call this update function from code behind, passing in the parameters.

    I hope you got the point.
