Integrating search Api with the desktop app

I am not getting the way how to send/receive query from a search engine to desktop app....through JavaScript

Can you explain what you mean? What sort of search are you doing? How do you want this to interact between your Windows Store app and your desktop app? Is your Windows Store app side-loaded or distributed through the store?

Windows Store apps cannot directly interact with desktop apps, but if the app is side loaded then you can broker some interactions.

Its basically a search app the query entered by user will be send to the search engine( Bing) then the results will be shown in the UI of app...
