Location by Query returns wrong zip code RRS feed

  • Question

  • I requested location using "Horstwalderstrasse 10 12307 Deutschland" query but response contained only one address with postal code 15837. I expected to get results for 12307 postal code.
Is it bug in the service? Is it possible to get only addresses with 12307 postal code?

    My query was:

    http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations?key=myKey&c=de-DE&q=Horstwalderstrasse+10+12307+Deutschland&maxRes=20&incl=queryParse

    The response was:

  • Hi Anton,

The "10" seems to be causing your issue.  When I remove it and use the same string I get the correct area code in Berlin.  "Horstwalderstrasse 12307 Deutschland" resolves to "Horstwalder Straße, Berlin, BE 12307, Germany".  Does that work for you as well?

PS: Adding a comma after the 10, "Horstwalderstrasse 10, 12307 Deutschland" also seemed to give the same result.  My guess is having the two numbers together without a separator is the source of the issue but it is just a guess.

To test my theory, you could try http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/v1/Locations?key=myKey&c=de-DE&q=10+Horstwalderstrasse+12307+Deutschland&maxRes=20&incl=queryParse

    Sincerely,

    IoTGirl
