Excel 2013 context menu macros fail to run on touch screen? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Excel 2013 context menu macros run fine on my laptop but fail to execute when invoked on my Asus VivoTab 8" Windows 8.1 touch screen tablet. Why is that? Anyone else having this problem with Windows 8.1 touch screen tablets?

All of a sudden the context menu macros are working on the touch screen. Aggravating! I wasted 3 hours working on getting them to run last night. If anyone has a similar problem, try rebooting before wasting time trying to figure out what is wrong.

It's recommended to download and install Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which is developed by Microsoft Support teams. Once the tool is installed, you can run it at any time to scan for hundreds of known issues in Office programs.

  • Hi phillfri,

Could other macros work fine or just the context menu macros don’t work?
