[Python][Web Apps]Django - Visual Studio - Azure Web App - Simple Publish does not work RRS feed

  • Question

  • ***SUMMARY***

I have created a new Django App using Visual Studio. I use the "DjangoWebProject" template. So I did not modify anything. On my local pc it works correctly.

When I publish to my Azure Web App, Visual Studio automatically open my web page and the result is "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.".

    ***DETAILS***

My steps in Visual Studio are:

-create Django Web Project from Visual Studio template.

-create a virtual environment (Python 2.7).

    -build app in visual studio.

-start the python server to test the application to the address 127.0.0.1

-right click on app name and click on "publish"

    -select "Microsoft Azure Web Apps"

-chose the Django Web App I had previously created on Azure.

    -publish

-open the web page and receive the error message: "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred."

Any idea what is the reason of that error?
