  • New to BizTalk. I have a biztalk project with a Orchestation and schemas. For some reasons, the orchestation does not appear in the BizTalk Server Admin console > Application > Orchestrations. The project is compiled and deployed succesfully. Please let me know why would I not see the orchestation in the admin console. Am I missing somehting?

  • Try to rebuild the project and then deploy it might be your updated DLL has not been deployed so re-buid the project and then deploy or try to update the DLL by modifying the resource manually to make sure updated DLL is deployed to BizTalk.

  • Hi ,

check the properties of deployment tab in your application.

Like server name is it pointing to your dev machine(Local)..!!

other possibility ,check whether the dll file of your application   is exist in Resources tab in Admin console and GAC.If its not .your application is not deployed properly.

  • Thanks srikanth. I have two Orchestrations in my project. I'm able to see just the one but unable to see the another one. The application appears to be deployed fine. Otherwise I should not be seeing just one orchestration as opposed two that I created??

  • Which BizTalk application are you deploying into? I think the projects are getting deployed to BizTalk Application 1 which is the default. You can check the application name by right clicking on the Biztalk project Deployment tab and Application Name under BizTalk Group.

  • Hi Arasheed,

From the visual studio, check the project properties-->Deployment and look for the value of Application Name property.

If Application Name is left blank before deploying then all the artifacts(Orchstration, Schemas ets) in that project will be deployed to the default applcaion 'BizTalk Application 1'. I think in your case one orchestration is deployed into the 'BizTalk Application 1'.

You can move the orchestration from one application to other application from the BizTalk admin console.

  • As I stated earlier, I have two orchestrations in the same BizTalk project. When deployed, only one is visible in the admin console. Since both the orchestrations are in the same project, I'm not sure why one is not visible.

  • Right click on the orchestration file in the solution explorer select properties and check Build Action. It should be BtsCompile.

  • Check the Admin.Console / Applications - <All Artifacts> - Orchestration branch. Maybe this orchestration was deployed but under application.
