  • Hi Rajeshwari

This is an error at Oracle side - basically BizTalk Server is unable to connect to the Oracle instance for some reason -

ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist
Cause: The address specified is not valid, or the program being connected to does not exist.

Action: Ensure the ADDRESS parameters have been entered correctly; the most likely incorrect parameter is the node name. Ensure that the executable for the server exists (perhaps "oracle" is missing.) If the protocol is TCP/IP, edit the TNSNAMES.ORA file to change the host name to a numeric IP address and try again.

You can check the below things. Better to take help of Oracle DBA to help you with this issue -

1.making sure that your listener is running (lsnrcrl stat)
2.testing connectivity with ping, and then tnsping.
    3.verifying connectivity via the DNS (e.g. /etc/hosts)
4.make sure to check your tnsnames.ora parms.
5.Use numeric IP address in your TNS entry , instead of hostname

If you are using the same TNS entry, you need to check with your Oracle DBAs.
