Does Windows Store apps can talk to my own device through a driver with metadata, which is a ACPI virtual device?

    Question

  • We have a ACPI virtual device driver, does Windows Store Apps can talk to this device with metadata?

    Thanks.

  • More, we do have a external device, but there is a virtual ACPI device driver to communicated with BIOS/EC to get the data.

Any progress will be much appreciate. Waiting....

    Thanks.

  • Xyz,

Are you the OEM and do you also own the external device?  Or do you own the external device and OEMs will always modify the BIOS/EC on your behalf?  Is this a device that customers will use or is it limited to the factory the computer/device are manufactured in such as a test device?

  • Yes, we own the device and OEM will always modify the BIOS/EC on our behalf. Our customer will use it.

    Thanks.

  • Xyz,

Could you contact Microsoft Directly through your OEM contact to discuss in more detail.

    Best Regards - Eric
