Comparing the number of records in feed file in azure data lake store and azure sql db

    Question

  • Scenario-I upload a feed file in azure lake store and then in azure sql db . Now i want to make sure  that all the data of feed file is uploaded and rowcount in azure sql db and rowcount in lake store feed file is same. How to acheive it without manually counting rowcount. Any script or connector to compare??

  • There's no automatic way of doing this. To get the row count in a file requires writing a U-SQL script that will read from the file and then comparing that to a result of a SQL query in Azure SQL DB that counts the rows in a table.
