How can i clear files that I have published to an App Service on Azure ? RRS feed

    Hi ,

I successfully publish a project via Visual Studio to Azure and all runs.

If i need to publish an entirely new project to that App Service, I have to first go into Azure and delete all files except the "hostingstart.html" file under the WWWROOT branch.

Is there an easier way to do this instead of individually going and deleting one file and directory at a a time. ?

    Thanks

    Hi,

You should find a "delete all existing files" checkbox in your publishing profile.

    Hi ,

Is this option via the Azure Portal after clicking on "App Service Editor (Preview)" ?

    Hi robby32,

You can use [Kudu Console](https://github.com/projectkudu/kudu/wiki/Kudu-console) to access and manage file and folder of your site.

Besides, you can also [access site's files via FTP](https://github.com/projectkudu/kudu/wiki/Accessing-files-via-ftp), and then you can select and delete multiple files at a time.

    With Regards,

    Fei Han
