How to secure SqlConnection's password without Integrated Security? RRS feed

    Hi all,

    I have a console application that imports data into a SQL2000 database. I have the following connection:

    SqlConnection cnStockLending = new SqlConnection(connectionString);

    I was wondering how I could make my code more secure, (protecting my password and id)

    without using Integrated Security?

    Thank you for your suggestions,

  • You could encrypt the information, wherever you should decide to store it, and then decrypt it in your application before supplying it in your connection string.
