How to demonstrate different serializers with Fiddler? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've believe I have been running these examples: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/vstudio/ms751450(v=vs.90).aspx

    I see this code in WF_WCF_Samples\WCF\Basic\Client\Interop\XmlSerializer\CS\service\service.cs

        [ServiceContract(Namespace="http://Microsoft.Samples.XmlSerializer")
        //, System.ServiceModel.XmlSerializerFormat
        ,  System.ServiceModel.DataContractFormat
        ]
        public interface IXmlSerializerCalculator

    As you can see, I commented out the original System.ServiceModel.XmlSerializerFormat and added the DataContractFormat.

    So when I regenerated and recompiled the proxy in a new client and ran the client and used fiddler, I see that DataContractFormat is just another form of XML and I was expecting to see the WCF Binary format that the plugin for Fiddler is supposed to (format) decode. What classes would I put here (in this ServiceContract attribute) to demonstrate a non-XML format such as JSON or a binary format (such as WCF Binary).

    Thanks
