Bug in Visual Studio 2013 with Platform Builder Active Solution Configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have noticed the "Active Solution" does not display correctly on the tool bar in Visual Studio 2013 w/Platform Builder.

In most cases the "Active solution" text is too long to fit in the tool bar dialog box as it usually contains something like:

"MY_BSP_NAME ARMV7 Checked" which is usually chopped off to something like "MY_BSP_NAME ARMV"

So you need to hit the down caret to see the ...Checked, ...Debug, ...Release selections.

In VS2008 w/WEC 7 when you hit the caret you would see only one highlighted line indicating which one is selected and "Active".

This does not seem to work in VS2013 as none are selected.

In VS 2008 (WEC 7) it worked, not sure about in VS 2012 (WEC 2013).

Could someone please verify they are seeing the same?

  • Also, the selection actually does work ... as verified by using the "Configuration Manager..." selection and observing the "Active solution configuration" dialog.

It just does not display correctly in the pull down box on the tool bar.

  • Your observation is right. In the toolbar it is not highlighting what is the active platform configuration.
